Exolore LLC(이하 "회사")는 Android 앱 영어 한마디도 모른 채 해외에서 살아남기(홈 화면 이름 '해외에서 살아남기', 영어 이름 Survive Abroad: Speak English, 이전 이름 턴테일·TurnTale, 패키지 이름 com.exolore.turntale, 이하 "앱")를 운영합니다. 이 방침은 앱이 어떤 정보를 다루고, 누구에게 맡기며, 어떻게 지우는지 설명합니다.

1. 요약

앱에는 회원 가입·로그인이 없습니다. 회사는 자체 서버를 두지 않으며, 이름·이메일·전화번호를 받지 않습니다.
이야기 진행과 연습 기록은 휴대폰 안에만 저장됩니다.
말하기 연습은 휴대폰의 음성 인식 서비스를 씁니다. 앱은 목소리를 녹음해 저장하지 않으며, 인식된 글자를 회사로 보내지 않습니다.
광고(Google AdMob), 사용 분석·오류 수집(Google Firebase), 결제(Google Play)는 Google 서비스가 처리합니다. 이 과정에서 광고 ID 같은 기기 정보가 Google로 전송될 수 있습니다.
앱은 성인을 위한 앱이며 어린이를 대상으로 하지 않습니다.

2. 휴대폰 안에만 저장되는 정보

아래 정보는 앱 저장 공간(앱 내부 저장소)에만 있고 회사나 다른 곳으로 전송되지 않습니다.

앱은 Android 자동 백업을 쓰지 않도록 설정되어 있어(allowBackup=false) 이 정보가 Google 드라이브 백업으로 올라가지 않습니다.

3. 마이크와 음성 인식

마이크 권한(RECORD_AUDIO)은 사용자가 "말하기"를 처음 누를 때 요청합니다. 거절해도 답을 글자로 입력해 계속할 수 있습니다.
앱은 Android의 음성 인식 기능(SpeechRecognizer)으로 말한 영어를 글자로 바꿉니다.
- Android 13 이상이고 휴대폰에 영어(미국) 오프라인 음성 인식 언어가 설치되어 있으면, 앱은 기기 안에서 처리하는 인식기를 요청합니다.
- 그렇지 않으면 휴대폰에 설정된 기본 음성 인식 서비스(대개 Google 앱)가 인식을 처리합니다. 이때 말한 소리가 그 서비스 제공자의 서버로 전송되어 처리될 수 있으며, 그 처리는 제공자의 개인정보처리방침을 따릅니다(Google: https://policies.google.com/privacy).
앱은 녹음 파일을 만들거나 저장하지 않습니다. 앱이 받는 것은 인식된 글자(후보 최대 5개)뿐이며, 이를 정답 확인에만 쓰고 회사나 분석 도구로 보내지 않습니다.

4. 외부 서비스가 처리하는 정보

광고: Google AdMob

무료 이용자에게 장 결말 화면을 떠날 때 전면 광고를 보여 줍니다(처음 끝낸 두 장, 장면 중간, 연습 중에는 없음). 평생 이용권이 있으면 광고 요청을 하지 않습니다.
Google Mobile Ads SDK는 광고 표시, 광고 측정, 부정 행위 방지를 위해 다음을 수집해 Google에 보낼 수 있습니다: 광고 ID, 앱 세트 ID, IP 주소(대략적 위치 추정에 쓰임), 광고와의 상호작용(앱 실행·탭·광고 보기), 앱·SDK 성능 진단 정보. 전송은 TLS로 암호화됩니다.
유럽경제지역·영국 등 동의가 필요한 지역에서는 처음 광고를 요청하기 전에 Google의 동의 화면(UMP)을 보여 주고, 이용권 화면의 "광고 개인정보 설정"에서 선택을 바꿀 수 있습니다.
앱은 광고 요청을 "어린이 대상 아님", 광고 등급 최대 T(청소년)로 설정합니다.
맞춤 광고는 휴대폰 설정 → Google → 광고(또는 개인정보 보호 → 광고)에서 광고 ID를 재설정하거나 삭제해 제한할 수 있습니다.

사용 분석·오류 수집: Google Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics

앱이 어떻게 쓰이는지 파악하고 오류를 고치기 위해 씁니다.
앱이 보내는 사용 기록은 정해진 16가지뿐입니다: 앱 열기, 장 시작·끝(결말 종류), 큰 사건 진입, 연습 과제 시작·완료, 하루 연습 한도 도달, 광고 표시·건너뜀 사유, 이용권 화면 보기·구매·복원 결과, 결말 카드 공유, 별점 요청, 알림 열기, 연속 출석 배지. 값은 장·과제·결말 ID, 고른 이야기 나라(my·us 등), 숫자뿐이며, 이름·말하거나 입력한 문장·연락처는 보내지 않습니다.
Firebase는 이와 함께 앱 인스턴스 ID, Firebase 설치 ID, 기기 모델·OS 버전·언어, IP 주소에서 추정한 대략적 지역을 처리합니다. Google Analytics가 Google Play 구매 이벤트(상품 ID·가격)를 자동으로 기록할 수 있습니다.
앱은 Analytics의 광고 ID·SSAID 수집을 끄고, 광고 저장·광고용 사용자 데이터·맞춤 광고 신호를 기본으로 꺼 두었습니다. 화면 자동 추적도 쓰지 않습니다.
앱이 비정상 종료되거나 게임 화면에 오류가 나면 Crashlytics가 오류 기록(스택 정보, 그때의 앱·기기 상태, Crashlytics 설치 ID)을 보냅니다. 게임 화면 오류 메시지는 따옴표 안 글자를 가리고 160자 이하로 줄여 보냅니다.

결제: Google Play 결제

평생 이용권(turntale_lifetime) 결제는 Google Play가 처리합니다. 회사와 앱은 카드 번호 등 결제 정보를 받지 않습니다.
앱은 Google Play에 이용권 보유 여부를 묻고, 그 결과만 휴대폰에 저장합니다.

별점 요청: Google Play 인앱 리뷰

정해진 때에 Google Play 리뷰 창을 요청할 수 있습니다. 창을 띄울지는 Google이 정하며, 별점·후기는 Google Play가 처리하고 앱은 그 내용을 받지 않습니다.

5. 알림, 진동, 공유

매일 알림: 휴대폰 안에서 예약하는 알림입니다(오전 8시~오후 8시 30분 사이 사용자가 고른 시간). 서버 푸시를 쓰지 않으며 푸시 토큰을 만들지 않습니다. 알림 권한은 안내 카드에서 "알림 받기"를 누를 때만 요청합니다. 앱에 포함된 알림 라이브러리의 Firebase Cloud Messaging 자동 시작은 꺼져 있습니다.
진동: 정답·오답 표시용이며 정보를 수집하지 않습니다.
결말 카드 공유: 사용자가 "결말 카드 공유하기"를 누르면 결말 그림과 문구로 만든 이미지를 앱 임시 폴더에 만든 뒤 사용자가 고른 앱으로 넘깁니다. 이름 등 개인정보는 넣지 않으며 회사로 전송되지 않습니다. 임시 이미지는 다음 공유 때 또는 시스템이 정리할 때 지워집니다.

7. 처리 위탁과 국외 이전

회사는 정보를 판매하지 않습니다. 아래 서비스가 회사 대신 또는 자체 정책에 따라 정보를 처리하며, 서버는 미국 등 Google이 시설을 둔 여러 나라에 있습니다.

8. 보관과 삭제

휴대폰 안 정보: 앱 안 "전체 진행 초기화"(나라별 이야기 진행), "음성 인식 기록" 화면(기록 끄기)으로 일부를 지울 수 있고, 휴대폰 설정 → 애플리케이션 → 해외에서 살아남기 → 저장공간 → 데이터 삭제, 또는 앱 삭제로 모두 지울 수 있습니다. 평생 이용권은 Google Play 구매 기록에 남아 있어 다시 설치한 뒤 복원됩니다.
Google이 처리하는 정보: 위 표의 보관 기간이 지나면 지워지거나 Google 정책에 따라 처리됩니다. 앱이 이름이나 이메일을 다루지 않으므로 회사는 특정인의 기록을 찾기 어렵습니다. 삭제를 원하면 아래 연락처로 문의해 주세요. 확인할 수 있는 범위에서 Firebase 도구로 지우고 결과를 알려 드립니다.
광고 ID는 휴대폰 설정에서 재설정·삭제할 수 있습니다.

9. 어린이

앱은 성인을 위한 영어 회화 학습 이야기이며 만 18세 미만, 특히 어린이(만 13세 미만, 한국은 만 14세 미만)를 대상으로 하지 않습니다. 어린이의 정보가 처리된 사실을 알게 되면 연락해 주세요. 지체 없이 지우는 조치를 하겠습니다.

10. 안전 조치

외부로 가는 정보는 Google SDK가 TLS/HTTPS로 암호화해 보냅니다.
휴대폰 안 정보는 Android가 다른 앱이 읽지 못하게 보호하는 앱 전용 저장소에 있습니다.
앱은 사용 기록에 정해진 이름과 짧은 ID·숫자만 통과시키는 거름 장치를 두고 있습니다.

11. 이용자의 권리

이용자는 자신의 정보에 대해 열람·정정·삭제·처리 정지를 요청할 수 있고, 거주 지역 법(예: 유럽 GDPR, 미국 캘리포니아 CCPA/CPRA, 한국 개인정보 보호법)이 정한 권리를 가집니다. 회사는 개인정보를 판매하지 않습니다. 광고 목적의 정보 처리는 동의 화면(해당 지역), "광고 개인정보 설정", 휴대폰의 광고 ID 설정으로 거부하거나 제한할 수 있습니다. 요청은 아래 연락처로 보내 주세요.

12. 방침 변경

방침을 바꾸면 이 페이지의 시행일을 고치고, 중요한 변경은 앱 업데이트 안내나 스토어 소개에 함께 알립니다.

Survive Abroad Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 29, 2026

Exolore LLC ("we") operates the Android app Survive Abroad: Speak English (Korean title "영어 한마디도 모른 채 해외에서 살아남기", home-screen name "해외에서 살아남기", formerly TurnTale, package name com.exolore.turntale, the "App"). This policy explains what information the App handles, who processes it, and how to delete it.

1. Summary

The App has no sign-up or login. We do not run our own servers and do not receive your name, email address or phone number.
Your story progress and practice records are stored only on your phone.
Speaking practice uses your phone's speech recognition service. The App does not record or save your voice, and it does not send the recognized text to us.
Ads (Google AdMob), usage analytics and crash reports (Google Firebase) and payments (Google Play) are handled by Google services. Device information such as the advertising ID may be sent to Google in the process.
The App is intended for adults and is not directed at children.

2. Information stored only on your phone

The following stays in the App's private storage on your phone and is not sent to us or anyone else.

The App opts out of Android auto backup (allowBackup=false), so this information is not uploaded to Google Drive backups.

3. Microphone and speech recognition

The App asks for microphone permission (RECORD_AUDIO) the first time you tap "Speak" ("말하기"). If you decline, you can type your answers instead.
The App uses Android's speech recognition (SpeechRecognizer) to turn your spoken English into text.
- On Android 13 or later, when the English (US) offline speech recognition language is installed on the phone, the App requests the on-device recognizer.
- Otherwise, the phone's default speech recognition service (usually the Google app) performs recognition. Your speech may then be sent to that provider's servers for processing under the provider's privacy policy (Google: https://policies.google.com/privacy).
The App does not create or keep audio files. It only receives the recognized text (up to five alternatives), uses it to check your answer, and does not send it to us or to analytics.

4. Information processed by outside services

Ads: Google AdMob

Free users see a full-screen ad when leaving a chapter's ending screen (never during scenes or practice, and not after the first two chapters they finish). With the lifetime pass, the App makes no ad requests.
The Google Mobile Ads SDK may collect and send to Google, for advertising, ad measurement and fraud prevention: the advertising ID, app set ID, IP address (used to estimate general location), interactions such as app launches, taps and ad views, and app/SDK performance diagnostics. This data is encrypted in transit with TLS.
In regions that require consent, such as the EEA and the UK, Google's consent form (UMP) is shown before the first ad request, and you can change your choice later from "Ad privacy settings" ("광고 개인정보 설정") on the pass screen.
The App marks ad requests as not child-directed, with a maximum ad content rating of T (Teen).
You can limit personalized ads by resetting or deleting your advertising ID in your phone's settings (Settings → Google → Ads, or Privacy → Ads).

Usage analytics and crash reports: Google Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics

We use these to understand how the App is used and to fix errors.
The App sends only 16 kinds of usage events: app open, chapter start and end (type of ending), entering a major story event, practice task start and finish, reaching the daily practice limit, ad shown or skipped (with the reason), pass screen view, purchase and restore results, ending card shared, review requested, reminder opened, and streak badges. Values are limited to chapter, task and ending IDs, the story country chosen (such as my or us) and numbers. Names, sentences you spoke or typed, and contact details are never sent.
Firebase also processes an app instance ID, a Firebase installation ID, device model, OS version, language and an approximate region derived from the IP address. Google Analytics may automatically record Google Play purchase events (product ID and price).
The App turns off advertising ID and SSAID collection in Analytics, sets ad storage, ad user data and ad personalization signals to off by default, and does not use automatic screen tracking.
If the App crashes or the game screen hits an error, Crashlytics sends an error report (stack trace, app and device state at that moment, Crashlytics installation ID). Game screen error messages are masked (text inside quotes is hidden) and shortened to 160 characters.

Payments: Google Play billing

Google Play processes the lifetime pass (turntale_lifetime) payment. Neither we nor the App receive your card number or other payment details.
The App asks Google Play whether you own the pass and stores only that result on your phone.

Review requests: Google Play In-App Review

At set moments the App may ask Google Play to show its review dialog. Google decides whether it appears; ratings and reviews are handled by Google Play, and the App does not receive their content.

5. Reminders, vibration and sharing

Daily reminder: a notification scheduled on your phone, at a time you choose between 8:00 and 20:30. No server push is used and no push token is created. Notification permission is requested only when you tap "Get reminders" ("알림 받기") on the reminder card. Automatic start of Firebase Cloud Messaging, which ships with the notification library, is turned off.
Vibration: used to mark right and wrong answers; collects nothing.
Ending card sharing: when you tap "Share ending card" ("결말 카드 공유하기"), the App builds an image from the ending picture and text in its temporary folder and passes it to the app you choose. It contains no personal information such as your name and is not sent to us. The temporary image is removed at the next share or when the system clears the cache.

The App does not ask for location, contacts, photos or files, camera, or call log permissions.

7. Service providers and international transfers

We do not sell personal information. The services below process data on our behalf or under their own policies, on servers in the United States and other countries where Google has facilities.

8. Retention and deletion

On your phone: you can delete part of it in the App ("Reset all progress" / "전체 진행 초기화" per country, turning off the speech recognition log), or all of it via phone Settings → Apps → 해외에서 살아남기 → Storage → Clear data, or by uninstalling the App. The lifetime pass stays in your Google Play purchase history and is restored after reinstalling.
Processed by Google: deleted after the retention periods above or handled under Google's policies. Because the App does not handle names or email addresses, we usually cannot single out one person's records. To request deletion, contact us below; we will delete what we can identify with Firebase tools and tell you the result.
You can reset or delete your advertising ID in your phone's settings.

9. Children

The App is an English conversation story for adults and is not directed at anyone under 18, and in particular not at children (under 13, or under 14 in Korea). If you learn that a child's information has been processed, please contact us and we will delete it without delay.

10. Security

Data leaving the phone is encrypted in transit by the Google SDKs (TLS/HTTPS).
On-device data lives in the App's private storage, which Android protects from other apps.
The App filters usage events so that only fixed event names and short IDs and numbers can pass.

11. Your rights

You may ask to access, correct or delete your information or to stop its processing, and you have the rights given by the law where you live (for example the EU GDPR, California's CCPA/CPRA, or Korea's Personal Information Protection Act). We do not sell personal information. You can refuse or limit advertising use through the consent form (where shown), "Ad privacy settings" and your phone's advertising ID settings. 12. Changes

When this policy changes, we update the effective date on this page and announce important changes in the App's update notes or store listing.
